Kamen Rider Wizardaze
Full disclosure: I’ve only seen the first episode of Wizard! I’m a busy adult with many important things to do in my busy adult life. That, and I’m WAY behind on my shows. I still need to finish Fourze, Akibaranger, etc…
Anyway, that’s the explaination for the Jojo poses. That, and Wizard just lends himself to Jojo-level posing.
This isn’t a review of the figure. If you want that, look elsewhere (but for the record, I like it. The head is fine, the hands are way too small.)
The reason for the extended ramble is that I want to say just how incredibly happy it makes me that Bluefin has been bringing these out in the US. I can pick these figures up locally, I can look at the paint job, look for defects, and I don’t have to drive myself crazy waiting for preorders to open up at 3am. When the figure comes out, I walk into my local shop and pick up the figures I want. Nice. An amenity that shouldn’t feel like a luxury, but it is.
And speaking of local shops, my local shop of choice is Image Anime. Yeah, it’s not QUITE local (a twenty minute train ride for me) but I’ve been going there for years. I’m good friends with the owner, and most of the staff. They always make you feel welcome, chat with fellow fans, and go above and beyond with their customer service. I came in shortly after Bluefin started distributing in the US, and I saw how NICE their Figuarts prices were. And ever since then, I go there for every standard release Figuart. Check them out online, or stop in if you’re in NYC. They’re a great place to check for older releases, and hard to find items that might be sold out elsewhere.
That ends this rant. Expect more pictures and less words, next time.
(And Stronger 32/Kamen Rider 37 are coming soon, I promise)
