Experimenting with lighting some more, I think I found a good mix.  Basically I had to diffuse the LED twice.  Yay.On an unrelated note, Black RX is such a hard figure to pose for photos compared to how delightful he is to pose in person.  Wowow.

Following @Ptoadstool’s recommendation, I tried diffusing the light with wax paper.  That only made the light angry.  So I used parchment paper.

Left is the parchment paper by itself.  Right is the parchment paper with the light focused on the white board behind Gaim.  Both pictures have no finishing effects.

New lamp is driving me crazy.  On the left is a traditional bulb, which in this lamp maxes out out 15 watts.  Or, on the right, the LED bulb.  Which is too bright, too clinical, but with some finicky positioning, is much brighter and show more detail.  But it can be too bright.

There’s no happy medium here, and I should have just spent the extra money on a lamp that had more adjustable traditional bulb sockets.

Testing out my new lamp.  The old one committed suicide.Thankfully gifts like these (Gaim and Baron) hold me over while I’m 2Broke4Toys

Toy Vault 04: All the Rest 02

Kamen Rider 1 (Manga Ver.)

- I got this from a supermarket when I was living in Colorado.  It was a day trip to Denver, and we stopped by this curious Japanese style apartment complex that had a bunch of stores on the lower levels.  This was around 2001, and I had just recently learned about the recent (at the time) Rider revival in Japan, and I was displeased.  I was convinced that these new gimmicky Riders were sacrilege to the original series.  They had a full line of Kuuga and Agito figurines (blind boxed candy toys) which I turned my nose up at.  The original Rider came from a set that included Manga versions of Henshin Ninja Arashi and Inazuman, and I was happy to get him on my first pull.  Probably one of my favorite Rider figures for mostly sentimental reasons.
Of course, I’ve changed my mind on the Heisei Riders.  Even Kiva.

Ultraman Dioramas

- I got these from the same shop I mentioned above, just a year later.  They were neat enough, but I’ve never been a huge Ultra fan.  I love the original and Ultraseven, but beyond some of the movies, I’m totally lost.  But I love these figures.  I love the amount of detail and creativity in these tiny diorama sets, and I really love the perspective on the building set.  But, case in point, I have no idea which Ultra that’s supposed to be.  The original?  But he looks different…

Kamen Rider Kiva Dogga Form

- An HGCore figure I randomly got from HLJ one day.  I don’t even remember ordering it.  I always loved the pose and the colors, but I’m particularly amazed at how its still standing up straight and hasn’t drooped over in the past 5 years.

Agito - Burning Form
What a beast of a figure.

Unbridled Fury

Tackle was never a typical women-in-fridges damsel in distress.  She wasn’t even a love interest.  She was an equal.  She wasn’t a sidekick, she was a partner.  And until the last episode of Stronger, they were still referred to as a pair in the end credits.  Very fitting.

DepoweredAs far as upgrades go, I’ll always think that Skyrider’s first costume looked more powerful.
